I love Easter. This year I really enjoyed the opportunity to be able to talk to the kids about new life and Jesus's resurrection. What a wonderful opportunity these "secular" holidays are to share about the wonders of our Savior!

We got to host Easter at our house this year. It was so great to be able to have all the little ones running around the backyard. After lunch we did an egg hunt for the tots. Man did those kids ever make out big time! Here's a few pictures.

I love the spring colors, but it's not something I would decorate my house in full time...

...but Easter is the perfect opportunity to add a splash of bright spring color throughout the house! This was our table centerpiece, complete with Easter eggs decorated by Kaitlin.

I can't resist pointing out her clothes. The child dresses herself like she's in the '80's. She's wearing a pink dress with a tee over it and long shorts underneath the dress. Doug gets a real kick out of it.

This was the first year that Kaitlin seemed more determined to find the eggs themselves than to find out what was in them!

This was Wyatt's first Easter egg hunt...

...and he loved it! By the end he was just chucking 'em in the basket as hard and fast as he could! We "hid" special eggs, just for him, so that Kaitlin could identify them as "Wyatt's eggs" and let them be.

Wohoo!...

...look at all the loot! I'm thinking 40 eggs was probably a wee bit of overkill. And yes, they are all being stored for next years hunt...minus the candy and money inside, of course.

Uncle Dave helped Daddy get Kaitlin's craigslist Jeep up and running.

It was supposed to have been a Christmas gift, but hey, better late than never! She told me that now she'd go to Wal-Mart for me. If only.

Oh, yeah, and Baby Doug was there, too!

Part of DJ's present was a baby swing for the playground! Now he can play outside with Sissy and Cousin! And, yes, he is swinging in his underwear. I, too, am jealous.

I'll have to post pictures of them in their Easter get-ups at a later date. To me, this was the real highlight of the day, watching those kids run around the yard and loving their family time! Tell me they'll never grow out of that.

They're so cute!!! Ah, the days of care-free underwear swinging! I'm trying to post pics of our Easter but my modem is evil and hates me. Thanks for giving me something cute to look at in the meantime! :o)

They're quite adorable. :)
I think you ought to have egg hunts more often. It'll keep the kiddos occupied. Especially when you tell them a few hours later that you didn't hide any eggs.
